How to: Change your stock battery and access gas tank ON X19 - Mini Moto Planet- The World's Place To Talk Pocketbikes!

I have decided to change my battery since it died about after 10 electric starts.
I have bought a Autocraft 12v 4.5ah battery from Autoparts. This is what sits in my bike now. So far its been working good!

So lets see how we can change the battery on the x19.
First of all, notice my sexy hands! haha j/k
I would like to say, its very easy. I thought it would be hard its not.
While you do this, you will gain great access to the carb, the air filter, oil filter, gas tank and more so if you need to do somethin there too, i sujjest you get it all done. I have taken pics after the process, but i point with my screw driver to all bolts that you need to remove.

Just Locate the bolt there, and unscew it and your almost done. You do not need to do anything w/ the nut on the end, as on this bolt the nut is welded on underneath. EASY!!!

Dont take the seat off! It might be tricky, but youll get it done eventually. Just flip up part of the seat and locate the bolt there. Once you do that you will have to use both hands. Place the screw driver on this bolt while the screw driver holds up the seat flap and unscrew while holding the nut in place as in this next picture.

Hold nut w/ nut wrench as you unscew the bolt.

You will then unscrew the gas cap.

Once you did that, simply pop off the gas tank fairing slowly.

Disconnect the Positives and Negative plugs.

Unscrew just one bolt holding the bracket as shown.

Move the bracket out of the way.

Pop off the crap battery and replace with a 12v 4.5Ah Autocraft of YUASA battery.
