i have plenty of room for it i just want it to be super simple to work on you know when you go for them long rides and it all of a sudden breaks down and you have to push the bike miles to get home?! i wanna be able to fix it on the spot even though its usually not the motor its the chain! lol i bought another chain breaker just for the hell of it

im not sure if im gonna use it now i test fitted it and it brings a whole lotta issues! like the choke lever gets a little harder to reach same with the idle screw and it brings the air filter pretty close to the swingarm which might make cleaning the air filter difficult since i'll prolly have to pull the engine to get the filter off. it does make the bowl easier to get to so depending on what seals up better on this genuine dell i bought will be what i use. im hopeing my ada manifold seals good cuz i rather use that one instead now just for being more simple to do things plus i wont have to port it lol but im guessing performance would be better with the 2.5 manifold after reading that little article.

basicaly what that was saying is if you can fit a longer/bigger manifold you'll get better performance but cant go too big! so i think im gonna port my ada cage and the 2.5 manifold to match aslong as i can fit it and roughen up the inside to make the fuel stay atomized better should make for a better running engine i would think.

In a two stroke cycle multi-cylinder engine it is known that from the point of view of performance considerations, where the intake of air to the cylinders is provided from a common manifold, the common manifold should have a capacity at least equal to the total swept volume of the engine, and preferably 1.2 to 1.5 times the total swept volume of the engine. The provision of a manifold of this capacity currently substantially increases the overall physical dimensions of the engine assembly together with increases in weight and material costs.

yah thats what i was saying tsunami's way cheaper with shipping now but which manifold are you using again did you say you're using the one that came with the carb?! cuz the ada's inlet is centered and the stock manifold that comes with the carb is offset which sucks cuz i rather use the 2.5 one for my set up since i have room. i thought about porting it to match but the ada's is a straight shot through.

ohh and how does your bike idle? does it idle really low or does it still idle sorta high? cuz i found an issue with the ada cage manifolds! they dont squish up against the rubber seal inside the dell sha's well the reps so far i'll know about the genuine when it gets here. but to help fix this you'll need to cut that outer edge off on that plastic sleeve so the manifold sits further into the carb. you then may need to belt sand the outer part of the carb the manifold sits up against also cuz theres excess cast in the way of mine keeping it from touching all the way. just a heads up cuz my bike idled kinda high back in the day not really high it wasnt really noticeable but it wasnt as low as i wanted it to be cuz of an air leak!

what im thinking is since the reed limiters is thick that it'll make the reed screws stick up to much and hit the reed block. i still havent check to see cuz my reed cage is stuck to my old motor tight! i'll prolly need to soak it in a bucket of gas or something to help loosen the rtv. ohh and i checked it looks like tsunamibike changed their shipping up! it'll only cost $6 to ship orders under $20 so it'll be around $18-$20 to ship per pair. before they charged me $25 to ship an MLS gasket for my banshee and the gasket was only $20!

ohh and did you ever get a chance to try out a rocket key? i think it may bandaid the high squish. on turbo and supercharged cars they run low compression to prevent detonation and mess with timing and fuel to dial in power mostly slowly dialing in more advanced timing to make up for the power lossed in low compression set ups. a 2 strokes pipe works like a supercharger so with a low compression 2 stroke motor im thinking advancing the timing will do the same thing it does in a 4 stroke and add some more usable power and since theres barely any compression theres really no chance for detonation. i ordered one and im gonna try it on my hkmotos kit when it shows up if it ever does and depending on the outcome will decide whether i need to take the cylinder to the machine shop or not.

yah i noticed its mostly the older members its like you cant teach an old dog new tricks they just wont go for it lol but heres the link to just the reed limiters only. now remember i havent tried them yet so im not 100% sure they'll clear the cage, cases and crank but im sure with a little modding they should fit i'll check my ada cage just to make sure. hey maybe we could buy a couple sets together? cuz last i remember tsunamibike charges $20+ to ship things reguardless of weight or size.

hey i think i found another mod to gain more crank case pressure! now im not sure if it'll work but at the same time im pretty sure it will! bzm racing reed limiters they're big and thick so they take up a lot of case volume. with an ada cage and those limiters almost that entire inlet area before the crank will be taken up space.

im sure if i did this and posted it on pbp they'd say i was doing it for looks did you read the post where they were saying we do the polini reed mod cuz it looks good?
